Description

• The cotton padding improves its function by providing greater comfort to the patient and facilitates their cooperation. Due to its overextended design, it decreases the pressure areas of the chin on the soft tissues and reduces possible periodontal problems caused by excessive pressure in a defined area, as well as irritation due to sweating.
• The stops system allows: 1) Dynamic face mask. When using a dynamic face mask, opening and closing movements are allowed offering greater comfort to the patient. It can be used during the day and night; 2) Fixed face mask. When the stops immobilize the chin cup, opening and closing movements are not allowed, maintaining the elastics on the same direction of traction. It is usually used at night.
• Place the protraction face mask on the patient's face and verify that the length of the main frame does not protrude more than 4 cm. below the chin. Otherwise, the surplus must be cut with a carbide disc to avoid damaging the soft tissues of the neck.
• For single patient use. The protraction face mask may be reused.
• Includes: 1 hexagon key, 1 set (forehead and chin pad)

It has been shown to be very effective when used at early age in the correction of Class III Malocclusions (maxillary hypoplasia combined with mandibular prognathism), to lose anchorage and mesialization of molars, as well as retention in cases of Lefort Advancement. The Morales protraction face mask is intended as an efficient extraoral appliance in moving skeletal Class III maxilla forward and stabilizing or retracting the mandible. It is also effective in closing space and correcting negative overjet.
